If you are someone who installs a lot of mods, you may have heard of the name “Forge” before. Like Modloader, Forge is required for a lot of mods because it is a popular basemod. It helps solve conflicts between mod and make it easier for the mod devs to code and save some time. However, unlike Modloader, Forge has more basemods in it than Modloader does. In fact, Modloader is included in Forge and so are some other ones like ModloaderMP.
How to Download and Install Minecraft Forge
- Download Forge
- Locate minecraft.jar ( .minecraft / bin )
- Open with an archiver like 7zip, winrar, winzip
- Open Forge zip file
- Drag contents from Forge into minecraft.jar
- Delete META-inf
